I Threw a Baby From a Plane Dream

(forward: this dream in no way reflects any ill feelings towards babies, the dream is most likely symbolism).

I'm in a jet plane high up in the sky and frank who is the lead singer in a band I once played for is flying the plane. I think I was looking for a way to get rid of a baby, and frank came up with the idea to throw it from the plane. I was feeling awful about it, but I lifted the baby(which was in a blanket) horizontally & let go. I was feeling terrible about what I had done.

  1. As a matter of fact. there were symbolism in our dreams and most often than not, these symbolism comes true. Though this will come not exactly as it should be, part of our notion and belief that this somehow the premonitions of old custom and tradition.
    However, generally, this is part and parcel of mind conditioning. Be glad if your dreams will not turn into nightmares.

  2. During our sleep and if we dream, this is due to REM(Rapid Eye Movement). This stage means that our eyes are moving too fast, plus factor if we are tired from work. As for symbolism, this could mean that a baby would come across your path, or somebody in your neighborhood will have a baby sooner that you think. But in reality, I guess it's just nothing. So don't worry about, think of yourself.

  3. Well, dreams may have symbolism; however others said that if you dream of something whether good or unusual, it happens the other way. So, sometimes I don't believe on symbolisms of dreams.

  4. You know there's a theory that when we're sleeping our brain's neurons randomly fire and what we dream is our brain trying to make sense of the random firings, so the dream might not mean much of anything.

  5. I have always been curious about our dream state. Humans can't live too long without sleep so somehow in our sleep we get energised.

    I have thought that when we dream, we are in another reality and it is this reality that energises us. I have no idea how it works but I think there is a lot more to it than what we have yet discovered.

    But nightmares happen the same way we all have good and bad days. Some nightmares we never forget but we don't need to dwell on them either.

    Do you dream in colour or in black and white?

    Some of my dreams are in colour (the really memorable ones of which there hasn't been many) most are in a sepia colour.

  8. Dreams are just product of our wild imaginations so there is nothing to worry about. In fact,there are scientific explanations on that why we dreams things that are outrageous. Just keep your faith darling. Thanks for sharing this post.

  9. I have also read one article but it wasn't about dreaming. It was about sleeping. As far as I can remember, it was mentioned on that article, dreams are characterized by REM or Rapid Eye Movement which means, on that pace, we are dreaming. On the other hand, base on Sigmund Freud's theory, dreaming is a symbolic expression of sexual desires.

  11. Hmm, I'm going to give this a try.. maybe there is something that your mind can't handle. A big something, and you would feel bad about getting rid of it, but getting that stress away would be amazing, so your mind made it happen? Let me know what you think. haha

  12. I just hope that you don't think of doing this in real life. lol

    I'm not worried, yes a lot of dreams are just crazy stuff. I've also had dreams which were premonitions on more than a few occasions.

    On 3 occasions I told my wife about dreams which might involve her and all came true on the same day. But all the dreams were on different days.

    Back in the 70's apparently my mother had a lot of premonition dreams, her neighbors and friends at the time nicknamed her the "white witch".

    Yes I agree at what your getting at, it is the 'soul' that needs energizing and it achieves that in the spirit realms(But I guess the juries still out on that one). But I do believe that.

    My dreams are mostly in color, not sure whether I've had dreams in sepia. Thats interesting if you have dreams in Sepia and black@white.

  17. My view is that dreams are thoughts, and so there is as much or as little insight in our dreams as in any of our thoughts!

    I disagree with people who say they mean nothing, and I do kind of agree with people who say they can predict the future - we can predict the future in our waking life (for example: I predict tomorrow I will spend a lot of time on the computer), so why not in dreams too?!

    I just wrote a little piece on this here:

  19. do you ever have premonition dreams or are they all just quite unusual?

  20. It's probably just your brain making sense of random things in your everyday life. It could've also been something you saw or done earlier or your past which made you dream that. Anyways most dreams dont mean anything so don't sweat it.

  21. Some people says that dreams have something to tell with the real situation of your life right now but, dreams are just the wild exploration of your brain while you are sleeping. Always remember that dreams are just normal to all and lastly, dreams are just dreams.

    Yes but in dreams your astral body has access to the astral plane's, and so can gather information not available to us in waking life.

    yeah sometime's very scary. Don't really use a dream dictionary, maybe sometimes they can partially help you the interpretation of a dream. Most often dreams are very personal creature's.

  30. That's so weird... I had a dream that was kinda similliar!

  31. They say that a baby in a dream symbolizes your own inner nature that is pure and uncorrupted, or perhaps may even say that you are innocent of an accusation. If dreamed about throwing a baby from a plane it could mean you are letting yourself vulnerable or having part of yourself unprotected or perhaps you are disclosing some new ideas or feelings.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I learned in psychology class that dreams were "left overs" from our day....but that doesn't always make sense. Like throwing a baby from a plane is hard to see as a left over thought that was still in your mind once your day ended. Very interesting information you have here.

    ReplyDelete
  33. More than likely the baby represents a (newborn) idea that might have had to do with your old band or music in general. The idea apparently needed to be tossed and moved on from and you were/are reluctant about it. Maybe the idea was dear to you? We need to learn that often its better to let go.

    Thankx thats interesting, definetly food for thought.

    @Esther's
    I did'nt think it'd be a common dream, so maybe there is
    a particular meaning to this dream.

    @Jeremy
    Could be partially to do with that but only a little.

    Yeah its trippy how the talk radio or tv etc gets intergrated into dreams. Pure genius.

  38. Wow! This is amazing. Nice post.. Now I know what does my dream means. Thank you for sharing. One thing I know about dreams is that, when you dreamed of something, what happens in real is the opposite of what you dreamed of. Thanks again.

  39. Dreams are just merely imagination of the mind while you are unconscious. In my years of experience, I don't recall any dreams of mine that has something to connect with my daily life. Actually it's how you handle the circumstances that passes you. I don't even consider it as a premonition. Thanks for sharing by the way, very interesting.

According to the old belief dreams have something to tell with the real situation of every human's present life, but in reality and according to the study dreams are just the wild exploration of human brain while sleeping. Always remember that dreams are just normal to all and lastly, dreams are just dreams.

    @Los Angeles DUI Lawyer

    Maybe someday you'll change your mind about dreams. I only occasionly relate
    certain dreams to my daily life, obviously if I fall asleep in front of the tv my dream
    is then a weird mix of my thoughts and the tv show. But its good fun when that happens.

    @Blood Test

    But can be different for individual people.

  42. Dreams are natural phenomenon and we don't have control over it. It actually happens as what the Science had explained why we dreamed. On the other hand, we should not give interpretations to it since we don't have any accurate basis for that. Just consider it as part of our sleep and after all it will never harm us. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing this out. I have a good read.

About Me

Melbourne, Australia
I've been writing down my dreams for about 11 years now, but they still often surprise me with something unexpected. You might find this hard to believe, but I am often given glimpses of future events through my dreams.

This freaked my wife out on a couple of occasions, and recently she also dreamed something that came true. This got her excited, and I'm sure many of you have or will see a future event in you're dreams.

Oh yeah, I'm also a musician and producer/songwriter and I have a deep interest in most things psychic, supernatural and alien, I also have interests in electronics and physics.
